Designed for remote use with ovens, barbecues, fryers, and smokers, the unit comes with a stainless-steel probe on a detachable 42-inch heat-resistant wire. Its cooking menu includes four doneness levels and 15 different types of meat, ranging from beef and veal to ground turkey. You can pre-program the settings or customize their options, for perfect results with your favorite recipes. The unit’s large LCD monitor is easy to read and shows alert and current temperatures, doneness level, meat category, and cooking time. Using three distinct auditory signals, the device can be set to send signals when food is nearly done, done, or overdone. Other handy features include a 20-hour up/down timer, memory recall, quick start/quick stop timer button, and a simple Celsius/Fahrenheit switch.
