  • Art and Soul kicks off with art, food and music (The Natchez Democrat)
    NATCHEZ ? Artists, vendors and fun-seekers, residents and visitors gathered downtown Friday night to celebrate the first day of Art and Soul. Bands played, barbeque was bought, and pottery, jewelry, stained glass, paintings and other pieces were on display and up for sale.


  • Ebenezer Ladies Aid 2nd Annual Fall Sale and Auction (WHOI)
    The Ebenezer Ladies Aid Fall Sale and Auction will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2006. The evening begins at 5:00PM with a barbeque dinner, bake sale, and silent auction. At 7:00PM, the winning bidders on the silent auction will be announced and the Live Auction will begin.

  • Mallard Creek BBQ underway 10:30 AM (WCNC Charlotte)
    The 77 th annual Mallard Creek BBQ is underway in north Charlotte today. Volunteers began showing up at five Thursday morning to begin setting up. Preparations actually began last week when volunteers cooked, chopped, seasoned, and stored 15,000 pounds of barbeque pork.


  • Bazaar Happenings (Carroll County Online)
    St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 16457 Old Frederick Road, Mt. Airy, will host a holiday bazaar from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Featured will be baked goods, gourmet to go, jellies, candies, dried flowers, gift baskets, 2007 Entertainment books and more. There will be a raffle and a silent auction.
