    Fire officials said Thursday?s windy weather is to blame for sparking a house fire in northeast Bakersfield. Crews said the owners of the home on Pearl Street barbequed in the backyard as a gust sent embers from the barbeque pit onto the roof of the house. The homeowner quickly began hosing down the roof with a water hose in effort to keep the flames from spreading.
